How did you find FCTestates Zambia?
I was connected to the Christian community 'My Father's House', and through the contact of Pastor Freda Changwe I met the future leader of FCTrelief, Christine and Heiner Merk.
What is your job in FCTestates Zambia?
I run the farm. That means, I take care of both the administrative matters as well as the daily business.
What is your biggest challenge in the service of FCTestates Zambia?
Sometimes it is difficult to work with people and know how to communicate with them.
What do you value most about your employees in FCTestates?
I find the teamwork of my staff, which is very important on a farm, great.
Pulling together on the same rope (or here net of the fishpond) is important in a farm.
What was your main concern last week?
We did not have enough rain earlier this year. Our main crop does not thrive as desired, so this year's challenge is to move forward as a business.
What do you like to do in general?
I like to travel, meet people and also like to do sports.
What is your greatest strength?
I am very persistent.
What is your biggest weakness?
I often postpone assignments to do them later, and then eventually have to do them under great pressure.

My wife. We understand each other, bring out the best and build each other.

Self-fulfillment comes by helping someone in need.
Which person would you like to trade for a day? Why?
With no one, I like my life the way it is.
With his patient art, Patrick brings a lot of rest to the FCTestates farm team.
Who is your biggest role model? How so?
Jesus Christ. He gave his life for being free.
What do you want to do in your life under all circumstances?
I would love to travel to Venice with my family.
What's the most memorable moment you've experienced with FCTestates?
On the day we visited the farm, Heiner Merk simply gave us the GPS coordinates to locate the place. We then drove a motorcycle to find the location of the farm. We got lost and landed on another farm - the farm of our favorite neighbor, Richard. We then changed the route and finally came across a building that matched the one in the picture.
What do you want for FCTestates?
I wish that the farm thrives and grows in size.
Thanks to Patrick's efforts, the farm continues to run despite the weather.
